when did intel go to per core vids? I skipped z170 and z270 and just got my z370 together and in hardware monitor it shows a vid for each of the 6 cores on my 8600K.

Looking for a entry level Z370 to overclock a i5 8600k to 4.8GHz. It will mostly be for gaming. What manufactures have the least amount of settings to overclock the CPU using offset/adaptive and I like to use XMP only for my G.SKILL 3200 CL14.
