My USB-3 Dead

Hello,
Since some time I've been aware that my USB-3 sockets on the MBoard are dead. They give no power and peripherals plugged in are not recognised. The drivers are apparently in place and the 'device is working properly'. USB-2 is working, and although I don't have any USB-3 peripherals, it would be useful to have the use of the two USB-3 rear slots to supplement the miserable two USB-2 rear slots. Any ideas ? Good Day Asus. Sometimes the USB ports seems to not work. not sure the reason, but i now have 2-3 dead USB ports on my mobo. not sure if a firmware can fix this. sometimes certain ports cant detect the devices and so i had to restart a few times to get it working.
