Time Machine/Capsule Backup Help
Not sure if this is the correct forum be asking but worth giving it a shot.
My current setup is a MacBook Air and a 2TB time capsule which I've had for about 2 years. My old setup was a MacBook Air and a 500GB time capsule from 2009. When I bought the new computer I just relied on iCloud and usb drives to get my files. Well unfortunately I left my BitCoin wallet and have since wiped my old computer and gave it to my parents. So now I broke out the old Time Capsule, plugged it into my new one so I can see it on my current mac and am trying to get the file off and keep getting different error messages. The first thing I tried was to wipe my current mac and during the setup process I would select restore from old backup. It lets me drill down to the exact backup that I need however it doesn't accept my password which I encrypted it with, however I am 100% sure it's correct.
I ended up restoring my computer to the latest backup from my new time capsule and starting searching the internet for solutions and am turning up dry. I can see the sparse file and it accepts my encrypted password but now it says "The following disk image could not be opened. No mountable file systems. I have about $600 in that bitcoin wallet that cost me like $12 so it's not a major loss but I'd love to get it back if I can.
