SSD not being seen as valid boot drive

Tech Support - bit-tech.net Forums - forums.bit-tech.net
Hi all,

I am having issues with my new build machine, which is not recognising my SSD as a valid boot disk. Once I am in the EZ BIOS (its an asus motherboard) I can force it to boot from the drive and it loads the new install of windows fine.

Initially the BIOS won't even find the SSD but I updated it and now it sees the drive but ignores it. The drive is placed in the first SATA port and is correctly powered and connected using new cables.

The motherboard is an Z87 PROand the harddrive I am having issues with is a Samsung 840 Pro SSD.

Any ideas?
