Sony Vaio ASSIST button and driver Issues
Hi, I have a sony vaio S series VPCSB28GA. I have added RAM and installed windows on it. So I have a core i7, 6Gb RAm, radeon 6470 and windows 7 ultimate.
for VPCSB28GA : S Series (VPCS) : VAIO? Notebook : Sony Asia Pacific
The above link is for the drivers I used. I installed most of them not knowing which ones I need and which ones are not necessary. So after the installed, my problem is with the ASSIST button. Other websites say that for ASSIST button to work, it needs vaio care. But it is not provided on the drivers page and other places where there is a setup for vaio care does not apply to this model. Also I read that notebook utilities is supposed to have vaio care in it but that is not the case here. So any help on how to make it work??
Also the stamina speed switch does not do or show anything when I use it. So is it normal and its working in the background or it doesnt work? What driver is needed for it? I did installed graphics driver.
Also after the drivers installation, the laptop is slower on startup as before windows was loading in few seconds but now once in windows I have to wait for the loading properly. Sometimes while using, it just goes into sleep mode for no reason. Any help about these problems?
Finally, though not a problem, I wanted to know about the turbo boost. New laptop are supposed to be silent, but most of the time, as I open an application even if not that big, the CPU fan turns faster and faster making noise though not overheating. Is it needed and is it done just to improve performance as even for tasks that are not heavy it does that.
Thanks, any help will please
