Sharing 4G iPhone connection with wired/wireless network
I'm relying on my iPhone, which has a 30GB monthly data cap, for internet access. I can connect to the iPhone over wifi easily enough from any capable device (e.g. laptop, XBox, smart TV).
I'd like to create a network in which I can plug the iPhone directly into a hub using USB, and have the hub serve the iPhone's internet connection to both wired and wireless clients which are connected. I'm keen to connect the iPhone using USB, because I think it will be faster than connecting the iPhone via wifi and extending or repeating the iPhone's wifi network. I also have a Philips Hue lighting system, which requires a hardwired ethernet connection to a wifi hub in order to communicate with my smart TV (also Philips) and to be controlled by the Hue app on the iPhone.
Here's the desired network:
Code:iPhone ----[USB]----> hub/router ----[wired ethernet]----> Philips Hue
----[wired ethernet]----> XBox
----[wired ethernet]----> Smart TV
----[wired ethernet]----> Laptop computer
Can anything do this?
