Random BSOD, crashing, multiple problems
Hi, this is my first post, I'll just get straight to it.
I've had this computer for several years and it's starting to get multiple issues:
1. Bluescreens that are directly related to the HDD
I don't know what's going on but every so often, particularly when left idle or when playing intensive games like GTA V, I get a BSOD.
After the BSOD, it usually tries to dump the info. Not the case with my BSOD's. Except on one occasion, which may turn out to be unrelated to this issue, the info never gets even 1% dumped to the drive. Then the BSOD hangs until I reboot. The lack of dumped info makes sense, since the next part of this issue is that when I reboot after the BSOD, the BIOS doesn't recognise the existence of my HDD. I can "fix" this by taking out and plugging back in the SATA cable when the computer is off. When Windows loads after this it tends to "configure" itself like after an update and everything takes a long time to load for a while.
2. Random crashes.
I get completely inescapable crashes sometimes that don't result in a BSOD. I have no idea what the cause is or anything, possibly unrelated and due to me trying to do to much with my caveman GPU. However I can usually still move the mouse, but ctrl+alt+del doesn't work, nothing.
The only dump file from a BSOD that I have is from August (the problem has been happening since before late August, however since this is the only recorded one, it may be unrelated), and it reads:
*** STOP: 0x00000124 (0x0000000000000000, 0xffffe000db44d8f8, 0x0000000000000000,
*** ntoskrnl.exe - Address 0xfffff801a870cb35 base at 0xfffff801a8017000 DateStamp
Other than these issues I've had small-scale glitches that make me feel uneasy about my hard drive. I've recently installed Windows 10 however these issues have been occurring since before then.
Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.
