Question about VirtualBox, uptime and reliability.

Servers - www.overclock.net
I am currently in the process of virtualising certain processes of my media server and placing them in their own self contained machines. I have created a Mint 18.1 XFCE image in VBox and intend to deploy so as to isolate Plex and my torrent sections of my server and leave the host OS as light as possible (Win 8.1 host).

My question is whether VBox is reliable enough to deploy several (currently 3) VM's with a permanent uptime in mind. I am aware that VMWare can achieve this as can Hyper-V but I would like to use VBox unless it's just not feasible.

Thanks for any help or advice.

Edit: edited the title and corrected the spelling of quastion.
