Question re: Graphics with TPM support

Graphics & Displays Nvidia Forum - www.tomshardware.com
Hello...I recently saw in an ad for a Dell AIO PC "NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2GB DDR5 with TPM V1.2." I'm not a security expert, but I do know that the TPM spec regards the hardware encryption of data. So how/why does this spec apply to a graphics adapter? Dell clearly believes that TPM is an important distinguishing characteristic for graphics, because it also offers "Intel HD Graphics without TPM" on other models. Does this mean that a PC without TPM graphics would be unable to employ TPM hardware-based encryption, such as with Bitlocker? I'm considering a purchase, but mostly I'm just curious. Thanks!
