P670HS-G / NP8177 cons ? also display, bios and other questions
I am trying to choose between Clevo P670HS-G (Sager NP8177) and Asus GL702VS 17" laptops. Also considering their gtx 1060 versions.
Can you tell me potential negatives/cons of P670HS-G model if you know any? Maybe they are similar to 15" model P650HS-G ?
It looks like there is no Thunderbolt 3 support, but I don't really care.
I've read something about extensive light bleed. Is it applicable to these models?
What is the panel refresh rate for P670HS-G? Is it 60Hz ? Does it come with only one panel version (IPS + G-Sync)? 120Hz is not available?
I've seen some complains about abnormal overheating, but those seem to be special cases, i.e. specific laptops are bad (maybe heatsink/paste issues), but not common for the model in general.
A few more questions...
1) While reading different threads on this forum, I noticed some comments about enabling/disabling iGPU. Is it really possible to switch between iGPU and dGPU with this model? I thought that all systems with g-sync have panel directly connected to dGPU and iGPU cannot be used at all.
2) There is no Prema BIOS for P670HS or P650HS yet, right? Does anybody know when it will be available?
