New CPU Installed! No New CPU...

Some way or another, during the boot phase, my system got the idea that I installed a new CPU; I most certainly did not.

I received this screen just before the Windows logo appeared.

I chose the second option because I didn't want to break anything.

That probably turned out to be a wise decision.

I am able to use my computer normally for the time being.

Has anyone ever experienced this particular phenomenon?

If so, do you know of any causes or solutions (if it turns out to be a problem)? Bear in mind, I don't do anything rambunctious with my computer.

I play games (without overclocking), code, and pretty much do anything else that normal people do (except when I do that one thing I use a VPN and thoroughly purify my temporary browser files afterwards), so I don't think it's a virus.
