Do I need a bridge to hook up wifi to an intranet?

Wireless Networking Forum - www.tomshardware.co.uk
I have a cable system coming into my vacation rental. It has a router, which when hard lined to, connects to the buildings intranet. When you log in (with your email address), then it goes directly to their homepage (telling you about the daily events). I want to set up a wireless wifi in the room, but once I set it up, I see the network is available, but cannot log into it. I have it secured with a password, but that shouldn't matter, as that is just to log into the wifi (right?). The cable company customer service dept says that I need to create a bridge. Do I need anything more to do this? I just want to be able to use my ipad in the room. Thank you.
