Major Issue With New Build
I put together a new build today and it has one, or more, issues. The first time I tried to power it on, all that happened was a brief CPU cooler fan spin. This board has a series of LED's on the bottom. They would flash repeatedly at a regular interval, if I held the power switch down.
I've tried clearing the CMOS, moving RAM modules around, removing a video adapter. The only different behavior I received was with trying a different PSU. It would go into a boot-loop lasting about two seconds each time until I cut the power.
Here are the component specifics:
Gigabyte B250M-DS3H Motherboard, Rev. 1.0
Intel i7-7700 CPU.
Cougar VTX-700 PSU.
Kingston Fury HyperX DDR4 2400 RAM, 2*4GB.
The alternate 550W PSU came from an old Athlon 64 system. In the morning, I will try putting the new PSU in the old system. Beyond that, I don't know. I messed with this for six hours today, so I am, as my dad used to say, "Dog tired."
