MacBook Booting to White Screen

Mac - www.overclock.net
Ok, customer brought in an Aluminum MacBook (Late 2008). Computer is not booting. However, I have been able to get it to boot after holding the Command+Option+O+F keys and letting go. It will boot to my diag USB drive with the 10.8 recovery OS. Is this a corrupt EFI or something? I was able to get into ASD 3S132 and that found some issues but sometimes that can be strange. Especially if the EFI is the issue to begin with.

Back story, customer took the computer to our local Apple store to do an upgrade or something. Computer was working when he took it in. Apple store was going to do an upgrade to 10.8 or something. In the middel something happened and the screen just went white. Has been that way since.

Now I am getting it to work but wondering if any of you ACMTs have any other suggestions??
