Laptop Interference - dodgy PSU?

PC Hardware and Components - forums.hexus.net
My brand new laptop, an Acer V17 Nitro makes an odd 'interference' type noise, almost a dull stuck fly/bee type noise. Reminds me of an old Hard Drive seeking for stuff. It only makes it when the laptop is under high load (a game etc). But during the game, unplugging the Power lead stops it instantly, plugging it back in brings it back. It sounds approx 70% of the time, coming & going every now and then. It appears to be coming from between the fans - with them either side of it. The speakers are on the underside but at the front of the laptop, so this isnt coming from them.

When the laptop is under light load, I don't have any problems with it, plugged in or otherwise.

Before I ring Acer and have it out with them, can anyone suggest anything?

Thanks
