Anyone know a lot about photoshop?

Computers Forum - PCs, laptops, hardware, software - City-Data Forum - www.city-data.com
I realized I should have probably posted this in the photography forum maybe. Sorry about that.

I have been watching tutorials, but there is something that I want to do that I cannot find a tutorial on for a small video. By small I literally mean like 10 seconds.

Basically it's a small skit where a person is interacting with a cartoon character. The cartoon is already in and ready to go, but she is drawn completely flat, with no shadows or anything. I want to add shadows and shape the lighting on her, to match that of the real live person who was photographed, to make them look like they are right next to each other, in the same room, lighting wise.

Is this possible with photoshop? I am assuming it is, but cannot find any tutorials on how to accomplish this specific task. Does anyone have any advice? Thank you very much for any input. I really appreciate it.
