What if Electron was a core macOS framework?

Macintoshian Achaia - Ars Technica OpenForum - arstechnica.com
I am seeing more and more macOS application that are based on Electron. Some that come to mind are: Slack, Skype, Quickbooks and Visual Studio Code. If Apple were to provide Electron as a core macOS framework, would it help inn terms of reducing memory footprint and or provide any other benefits?

Just some idle thoughts on a quiet Sunday afternoon.
