Should I delid? 8700K

Intel - General - www.overclock.net
I'm running a 8700K, currently at 4.7ghz. It's reaches up to around 88C during/ Realbench tests, and I'd like to push a bit closer to 5ghz if possible. I must of got a really bad cpu, cause with these temps at 1.22v is pretty bunk. Using a H100i V2 cooler, and pulled it off today to re-apply thermal paste/re-seat the cooler, to see if that was the issue. Sure enough it wasn't, so I checked to make sure the cooler pump is working correctly which it appears to be.

So with all that said, is it worth getting my processor de-lidded? Someone on Craigslist is offering the service, so I figure that's a better route to go than spending like $100 for the tool and conductant, to try and do it myself. They're charging $35....my concern is that I won't see much of change in temps. From what I've seen, the average temp drop seems to be around 15-25C roughly....but would this be worth it in my situation?

Thoughts?
