Card longevity question

Graphics Cards - forums.hexus.net
Son is upgrading his pc next month but is stuck on what card to get for 1080p 60hz ultra for the next 2ish years. At first he was looking at 1060 but then looked in to a 1070 for longevity. Now he can also get a 1070ti for shy of £30 extra. Is a 1070ti just too much for max settings at 1080p for the next 2-3 years? Will be paired with an i5-8400 and 16gb ddr4. Games range from battlefront II, world of warships, skyrim remasterd, witcher 3, assassins creed origins, eve online etc

Thanks
