Will You Be Building A New RyZen Rig. What Have You Decided On?
The hype for me now is building nice. Leaks showing drawing/beating various Intel parts and dominating for the equivalent price's. My sig rig has been running now since early 2010 and though i have upgraded a few bits it is long in the tooth for sure now .
Been watching MoBo's being leaked and have to say i'm NOT a fan of the "Fast & Furious" RGB rubbish most have tbh. if i had to choose something **prior** to review day i would go for the following:
ASUS X370 PRIME PRO.
AMD Ryzen R7 1700.
Corsair 32GB Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200MHz RAM 2x 16GB.
Will be taking the rest of my sig rig over so will just need to buy the above to get my "fix". I use my rigs for years (as you can tell ) so will be looking for 8Core/16Threads for longevity imho. Thought i would go for 32GB over the 16GB i would have done for the same reason (longevity). This rig was for 1080p and although my SONY is still working fine when it needs to be replaced it will be with a 4K (probably a Samsung HDR model) TV. Though i will need a new GPU between then as this R9 390 ain't HDMI 2.0 .
I will be running the 1700 at stock until i need to OC (taking advantage of the 65W TDP...... Rather than my 1055T's probably over 200W!!) and hope that when it is time to OC my H110 will do the "business" and allow a reasonable OC. Thought i would go for 3200Mhz DDR4 as i figure (if as in the past) AMD CPU's that i have used didn't really benefit from high speed RAM. So will save a few £'s here.
So what are you people thinking of RyZen wise??
Thanx. '); }
