best (and safest) way to connect two qdc connectors in the middle of a tube

So, i have a titan x (old one) with a block on it, and just bought the 1080ti ftw3. the block for that wont come out until late may at the earliest, so i had planned on keeping the old card in, but turned off, so the rest of my loop would continue running. unfortunately, the ftw3 is so huge that the fittings on the old card dont even peek 1mm over the side of the TI. so i need to remove the old card completely to have this work at all.
i am using 2 qdc fittings on my old card, and i would prefer not to retube anything, so i can just put the old g1/4 fittings onto the new card to plug and play it when the block is available. Which fittings do i need for this? i see that there are terminals and bushings, but there are inner and outer threads, so i dont know which goes with which. the connectors that i would need to screw in are some koolance qd3 fittings, which i believe are inner threaded. this is how the setup looks at the moment: would this sort of thing be what i need?
