Battery Savings in my ASUS N56VZ

Laptops and Netbooks - www.overclock.net
What's going on guys, lately I've been having some troubles with battery life. My laptop will essentially plummet in battery after about an hour or two of light/moderate usage.

I've been trying to figure out how to extended my battery life and have even set up specific profiles to extended battery life by cutting processor speed and so on. Unfortunately this doesn't seem to be helping all that much. The laptop has an i7 quad core and I've been curious to know if there is a way to increase battery life by turning off two of the cores.

Is something like this possible? In addition the battery estimates are insanely inaccurate, does anyone have a recommendation for a replacement app that accurately determines battery life remaining?

Thanks in advance! '); }
