Looking for a 4 way foot pedal, or a guide on a DIY version.

General Hardware | Overclockers Forums - www.overclockers.com
So, as some of you may know, I am a disabled individual. My left-hand lacks fine motor control, So using wsad for a control scheme is impossible for me, at least with any assured accuracy(q and e, or hitting two keys instead of one) To top it off, the sensitivity in my fingertips isn't all that great either.

I'm interested in twitch reflex shooters, but never had the dexterity to use strafing, and as a result, I'm pretty terrible at fps games(I have pretty good aim, but my evasion sucks!). I just want to try the genre with this to see if this kind of control scheme would work for me.

I saw this and had a heart attack for the price. It is EXACTLY what I had in mind, but that price is absurdly prohibitive.

Are there any alternatives out there on the cheaper side of things? Or would it be possible to buy some wood(or 3d printed plastic maybe) that can house some key switches, wire them up to some sort of controller, and use them as like a programmable 4 key extension of my keyboard? I don't mind programming a software to go with it either.

I'm a novice(not a beginner) with a soldering iron, so I don't mind soldering. It would be a fun project anyways.

Thanks for any input on existing solutions!
