2011 MBP 13 i7 STILL...

PC Monitor Forum - forum.desktopreview.com
I thought new thermal paste would help. WRONG.

The issue is 2 fold. Since ElCrappyPlan OSX uses all of the ram it can, so you get multiple versions of firefox or chrome helper opening up. These can suck up 4GB of Ram and create uneccassary CPU usage.

The next I have noticed is any flash based video, well even sometimes Netflix sends the cpu to 98 degrees.

I do wonder if the OSX similar to recent talk about older iphones, is designed to make people feel the need for upgrade? Not saying it is or making an accusation, but I just dont see the point of the ram policy.

Anyway, any ideas on how I can reign in the CPU temps?

Its an i7 with the hd3000 IGP. 8GB of Ram.
