Mixing Cat5 cable and Cat5e Cable on a network

Networking Forum - www.tomshardware.com
I have an old school building that has Cat5 cable run all throughout it. The building has been turned into a warehouse but the cabling still exists. A network was set up in the front of the building using Cat5e cable. I am pressed with the task of making the entire 120,000 sq ft facility wireless. So my question is would it be possible to use the existing cabling and by placing wireless routers in a number of areas and connecting this to the front buildings network with the 5e cable. For the most part the only thing going to be run on the wireless network will be a handful of Ipads to access Quickbooks accounting software, so I am hoping that the cat 5 10/100 speed will be enough.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated as I am not and IT pro just and IT learn as you go.
