concerned about using a SSD for the OS

Storage SSD Forum - www.tomshardware.com
Hi,

So iv got £1.5k max for a new gaming rig but im lazy and really cant be dealing with spending a month to figure what components are good which are bad , buy them all separately and then build it so im looking at this plus a new up to date big monitor.

My main question :- this comes with a SSD which sounds great except iv read so much bad news about power failures , crashes , comp freezes , lockuos , bsod's etc etc that will likely at best destroy data or at worse brick the ssd completely.

Is there any real point in having a ssd (especially as my OS) when its likely to get corrupted / bricked at first comp lockup ? Or have they got past all these problems now ?

Thx all,

JD.

P.S. any suggestions on what i should be looking at for my price range rather than the link i gave for the bundle above.
