Recurring BSODs at boot
I am currently having problems with my video card and seemingly with the drivers.
This all started a few weeks ago when my computer crashed at some point (wasn't there when it happened), and when rebooting would always go directly to BSOD. I tested the memory as well as the hard drive and everything seemed fine, therefore I started suspecting the video card. I had to buy an additional video card to test this as my motherboard does not have any video ports. This confirmed instantly that the problem was indeed coming from there.
I contacted my manufacturer for an RMA but they told me this was a driver problem. I reinstalled the driver and it indeed resolved the problem.
Then it happened again today. Basically the screen started flashing weird black and white patterns (sound was still working) and then went to the same BSOD. I will try resolving it the same way as earlier, but this isn't really ideal as I need to switch the video card every time.
Does any one have any idea what might cause this? I would like to stop this error from happening at all, or if not somehow prove that this is a hardware issue so I can RMA my video card.
The BSOD is : PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA. It happens just before getting to windows login screen (there is a blue screen with "Please wait..." displayed). It happens every single time, I cannot boot at all Windows, not even in safe mode while this video card is connected.
My video card is a VisionTek Radeon R9 390. The card has always worked fine but it does run very hot when gaming (enough that I have to put a fps cap so that it doesn't overheat).
Thanks in advance for the help.
