Samsung 2017 monitors: SHG50 & CH711

Monitors and Displays - www.overclock.net
Both a disappointment if you ask me, but here they are:

this one I had high hopes for, but it's just a 1080p TN panel.

and this one is 60hz only.

Also, remember the photo of Samsung presentation?

most people thought 2K = 1440p, that's what we incorrectly call it, usually.

However, because SHG50 is 1080p, it seems that 2K = 1080p for Samsung, which is more or less correct technically, but misleading.

Meaning, there will be no new 1440p 144hz panels this year. Long live, AUO M270... yet another year of your reign.

Seems that CHG70 = CFG70+HDR. Same old 1080p stuff in 24 and 27 inch versions, Freesync.

And there will be variations of CFG70, just with G-sync. That's about it. '); }
