I have a 24" 1080p non-IPS monitor that I bought for $160 3 years ago. I have been thinking about...

This is the monitor I am talking about. The U3417W is already many times the price of my current monitor. Is it really worth buying a G-Sync 100hz monitor for $300/$400 more than an already expensive U3417W? I don't play competitively, but I have yet to experience higher refresh rates and G-sync. I'm already planning to purchase a GTX 1080 TI (or Vega) and I don't want to break my bank. I'm not even sure if the 1080 TI is already overkill. '); }
