Will a Ryzen CPU last me 6 years?

AMD CPUs - www.overclock.net
Guys, my current PC has lasted me 6 years and honestly, I feel like it could easily last another few.

But I have been itching to upgrade;

People always **** on i3's, but I use mine for gaming and I've never had an issue - in fact I've never played a game that pushed my CPU to 100%. I know some games do, like Starcraft or something weird, but I don't play that game.

Anyways, I'm assuming a Ryzen CPU is a big upgrade.

I'm eyeing the 1500x, 1600 and 1600x. The price difference between the 1500x and 1600x is not that big, but considering I'm doing a full system upgrade, bar GPU, price differences will add up and I can save that for something really splurgy, like Vega or a 1440p monitor.

But if you recommend a 1600x very highly, I can get it.

Current Specs;

z68 chipset mobo

i3 2120 3.3 ghz

R 9 290

8GB DD3

Antec 620w PSU

Any recommendations for Mobo etc would be appreciated. '); }
