Bios-mod gets Intel Coffee Lake-CPU working on Z170-motherboard

Hardware News - www.overclock.net
Quote:

A modder has managed to get an Intel processor from the Coffee Lake generation, the Intel Core i3 8350K to be precise, working on a motherboard with the Z170 chipset; the MSI Z170A Xpower Gaming Titanium. For this combination to work, some bios modifications and changes to the microcode were required. It does not work flawlessly, however, because the integrated GPU is not available and the primary PCI-E slot is not working yet, even though it may concern motherboard and / or driver-specific problems.

Source & Source translated

Big if it can be reproduced on other motherboards and if they can get the other stuff to work.

I might get my desired GA-Z370X-Gaming9 after all
