What's the shelf life of a mid-grade MB and CPU?

CPU & Motherboard Technologia - Ars Technica OpenForum - arstechnica.com
My daily driver at home is a 2012 Gigabyte MB with an Ivy Bridge i5, EVO 850 and 12 GB ram installed. Reading another thread here it sounds like there is no reason at all to upgrade doing garden variety chores like MS Office and browsing. It looks like I could use this rig until I have to upgrade from Win 7 in 2020.

So what's the shelf life of the MB and cpu? Is it a reasonable expectation I can drive this for 4 more years? The power supply was a new Seasonic 430.
