Arock 775i945GZ Motherboard Quad-Core support?

I have the Asrock 775i945GZ motherboard, and I was wondering if it can support quad-core CPU's.

I know the Asrock site and manual says it supports dual-core CPU's, but what about quad-cores? Technically, it should work as long as it's an LGA-775 type socket, correct? I have a video card (ATI Radeon Sapphire 3870 - GDDR4) that's not on the support list on their site or anywhere else, yet it works 100%. It also weirdly allows me to run at 3GB memory, even though it's stated at MAX. 2GB.

Note: I am running on Windows 7 32-bit.

The information about this motherboard seems outdated.

I would like to upgrade my CPU, and if possible, to quad-core.
