Panther on iBook G3 (Dual USB)?

PowerPC Macs - MacRumors Forums - forums.macrumors.com
Hi I have a really dumb question here guys and I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask. I have a G3 Dual USB iBook, and I want to install Panther on it. I have the original discs that I bought way back when, so and I have let it check the disc so I know it's not the CD (I THINK).

My problem is it keeps stalling during the install, I've been searching the web and here, but I can't seem to find anyone that has the same problem as me. Any idea why it keeps stalling? It's not stalling at the same spot each time, I've check to see if there are any Firmware updates for the unit and there doesn't seem to be any. At least none on the disc.

The Dual iBook G3 is able to run Panther right? The the funny thing I was able to install Panther on a PowerComputing Tower Pro with a G3 upgrade and it worked fine, so I don't get this problem at all.

Any suggestions on what I can do. The version I have is 10.3.0 discs.

Just as a side note, the first time I tried to install Panther it got to running installer scripts but it never asked for disk 2, then stalled.

Thanks!
